Functionality and intrigue.
This piece started as an idea back in high school. It was my most thought-out project before my Furniture Studio classes at Appalachian State University. It took months of designing and construction to complete this project, with countless obstacles along the way. The body of this guitar is completely hand made with a welded steel box with my signature geometric pattern inlaid with maple on the face.It is fitted with an electric preamp, to avoid jeopardizing any acoustics due to the steel construction. This guitar is not only functional, but makes a great hanging wall piece. It will soon be grouped with a trio, one with walnut inlays, and one with cherry.
