This Bedside table, constructed from cherry and maple, with welded steel legs, was a project in a sophomore level class. It was designed for functionality with a certain level of craftsmanship. This was one of my first builds with any quality of craft in it. This project was valuable to me, as its where if first picked up a usable attention to detail. In a stress fracture on the maple on the outside of the table, I inlayed cherry reinforcement "bowties" for a small detail. The drawer has soft close hinges the keep from having any loud slams as the drawer completely closes.
